I just purchased a new computer i7 7th generation 12 gigs ram dedicated graphics card. I am having an issue when loading videos. I occasionally get lag in loading and sometimes even the video playing will pause. Is there something I can do to tweak my computer or VDJ program to stop this? I am running VDJ 8.2 latest build.

are videos stored on external drive?
if so set that drive to not sleep
internal drives sleep as well so adjust that.
