how are you connecting to your speakers, rca's from the mixtrack to your speakers with what kind of wire.
I'm guessing you're trying a stereo lead into a balanced input. Disconnect one rca and try again.

Thanks for getting back to me. I am completely stupid with things like this. RCA cable from mix track pro (red and white) and large Jack lead into external speaker. Config in VIrtual dj pro is using sound card from Pro 2.

Yeah it looks like you are taking the unbalanced stereo output from the mixtrack and sending it down a stereo 6.35mm (1/4" ) stereo jack. into a balanced input.
It matches perfectly with the symptoms you describe. [massive sound cancellation]
pull the red rca out to check. you should get full volume of the left channel.
You could then use this script on a custom button to get summed mono, with the wire you have
mono_mix

or if you want stereo you'll need something like this wire
the pro option is a DI box but I think that with a mixtrack is waste of money.

Do the back of your speakers look like this?

If so then the jack inputs near the top are MIC inputs. You should NOT use those for the output of your controller.

The XLR socket is the correct one to use. The one that says input next to it.

I think the one at the bottom is either a Speakon or Powercon - so you shouldn't stick a jack in there either.

If yours are different, please post a pic.
