Er.....can someone please explain to me what the point is of the command lock_panel?
From the name, I would've thought it should lock a panel (browser split) like the old lock in VDJ 7.
All it seems to do is open or close a split in the browser - which is what show_splitpanel does.

That is correct. I think the action was only there for compatibility with v7 skins.

So....can you modify it so that it does lock the panel? This has been requested several times since the release of VDJ 8.

Don't remember seeing that requested, not sure what the use would be since we don't have the automatically opening/closing splits anymore either as v7 had.
