Admittedly it been a few years but, I used to use VirtualDJ to record my talk show format podcast and it worked great. A word to the wise, your hardware needs to be up to snuff for everything to sound professional.

I'm in the process of putting a couple of things together with VDJ for podcasting/online live broadcasts. One neat feature that I'll share...Did you know you can set up a Google Voice line or Skype as a line in on VDJ? Simply get a hold of a virtual cable and change the settings in either of those programs for the output to go on the virtual cable, then set up a line in on VDJ with that same cable. Then I created a custom button to play that line on one of my tracks and voila...patched in callers from afar!
