The 64 bit version freezes on 4k VP9 video. The 32 bit is fine. 720p or 1080p play VP9 audio ok but occasionally the waveform will stop and the video window will open by itself. Again, no problem on 32 bit.
Not a big problem as they play ok on 64 bit when converted to mp4. Just thought you may want to be aware of it.

After loading the file, can you check in the Tag Editor at the bottom if it is using the hardware accelerated decoder or not in your case?

No, it is not using the hardware decoder. It looks like none of the VP9 video is using hardware acceleration. The mp4s are using it. When I turn off hardware acceleration, the mp4s do not play in the 64 bit version either. Both types play in the 32 bit version with hardware acceleration on or off. The CPU is running about 25% in both cases. (6 cores, 12 threads 3.8 Ghz)
