this is on purpose.
Have an option "manually set to the same value that was the default", is no the same as having an option "be on default".
If an option is on default (if you click on the X icon), it means virtualdj is allowed to change this option when something change in your hardware (plugging a controller, changing the skin, plugging an external monitor, etc).
Once you manually change an option in the settings (even if to change to its original value), virtualdj will not try to change it again.
A good example is the autoMatchBPM. Depending on the skin layout, this value can be on or off. But as soon as you manually change it, switching layouts will stop modifying it.
