Topic: GPU for stems: What does matter the most?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

So I have been playing from a Macbook until recently when I decided to switch to a Windows laptop to use the stems functionality without freezes and glitches.

I have two options for a laptop:
Nvidia GTX 1060
Nvidia GTX 1650

Tehnically 1060 it's better for games, but it has an inferior CUDA Core Computing tehnology level. The 1650 has a newer CUDA version, but inferior in games. I won't use the laptop for games or anything else except VDJ 2021 with stems functionality.

Thoughts?

Do a search in Google (not the forum as the search function is terrible)

This has been discussed in detail lately and all the info is there.

Thanks for your reply, but I have been searching for weeks now to see what really mathers. Cuda Cores? GPU Cores? Cuda version? No answers found yet.

Cuda is used for the stems processing, both should be fast enough to calculate stems in seconds

A 1650 is more than enough for smooth stems operation.
