As soon as I open VDJ, I can no longer get audio from my desktop. After I close VDJ and try audio again I get an "Audio renderer error. Please restart your computer." message. Please help

Can you post a screenshot of your AudioSettings in VirtualDJ?

Generally, when DJs run their DJ software, they want the audio from the DJ software - and ONLY from the DJ software. That's normal operation.
