Topic: Controller not reading.
Partly due to a previous technical issue, I bought myself a new computer. I have downloaded VDJ, and signed into it ok. However I am having an issue when I have plugged in the controller.

VDJ is clearly sending info to the controller (music is playing out from the right jacks, the unit displays are showing the correct BPM etc), however there is no response to any input.

I have the correct licence for the device
VDJ and device firmware are both on latest
Device shows correctly in Device Manager

Any suggestions?

Have you followed the install part of the VDJ hardware guide for the unit?
Using the soundcard in it may just be due to regular USB auto-connect + standard WASAPI driver use
 
@klausmogensen: I have. Its fairly modern so the instructions are essentially plug and play.
 
Perhaps some other Application has taken control of the MIDI Input ?
Still same after restarting computer ?
 
@djdad: Yes, its never not been the case on this computer. Other than Audacity, no other music/sound/audio software has been installed. And Audacity is normally not running.
 
Can anyone else suggest anything? I have a mostly completed home studio here and I can't do anythin with it at the mo... :(
