Totally confused now! I Wish Tidal and/or Atomix would communicate a little more about this. The past few months the forum has been flooded by confused Tidal users.
I just (reluctantly) upgraded my Tidal subscription, and now it seems it was not needed? Or is it just for a limited period?

tidal seems to be a bit of a mess with organisation, did you know for a year or so they offered a weeks free trial with just an email address, no cc, they didn't even confirm the email address - I bet that cost them.
It seems technical and management are disjointed over there.

Yeah I paid the extra at Tidal too, and dropped my Spotify sub to do that.
Now if I go back, it won't kick in until the next payment, by which time.......

Yes, Tidal definitely makes mistakes too.
But VDJ doesn't manage to at least restore the old state.
The quality is only 96 for me - but it should be 320 ;-)

also once a track is seen by the VDJ database the listed bitrate will not change.
but one can see the actual, bitrate in the, File Info area at the bottom of Tag Editor.

is that true of all Tidal tracks?..
some tracks from Tidal only exist as 96 bitrate. and others will have the same track listed at different bitrates.. one 96, another flac 1012

I cannot reproduce your issue...
Have Tidal HiFi Plus sub..
I can check a particular track to compare what I see from Tidal..
Checked using both builds EA 7816, and Standard 7759

Logging out and logging in to Tidal didn't work either.
Interrupting the internet was also on my plan.
Otherwise I have no problem with my other DJ software.
By the way, I had already restarted the desk...

Just loaded up a random track from Tidal and getting 320k here with high setting, and FLAC when set to lossless.

According to the Tidal site - even on Low, users should get "Up to 320k".
High is "Up to 16 bit 44.1 kHz FLAC" and Max is "Up to 24 bit 192 kHz".
The important part is the "Up to". They can only offer what they've been given by the artist/label, and some won't supply 320k or above.
