Topic: Virtual DJ and Pioneer DDJ-GRV6
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased the Pioneer DDJ-GRV6, and I’m having trouble getting it to work with VirtualDJ on my MacBook Air M1 running macOS Sequoia 15.0. I’ve tried restarting the Mac and made sure to look for any firmware or drivers, but I found out that the device doesn’t require any firmware to be downloaded since it comes with one pre-installed. When I check in the System Information app, the controller appears as a connected USB device, and I can also see the DDJ-GRV6 audio driver listed there as well. However, when I open VirtualDJ, the software doesn’t recognize the controller at all.
Right now, I’m only using the USB-C port on the back of the controller to connect it directly to my MacBook Air. I’m not using any hubs or adapters, just a USB-C to USB-C cable (the one the controller comes with). Despite everything I’ve tried, it’s still not showing up in VirtualDJ. I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions on what I should do next.
Thanks in advance for your help!

Are you running the latest build of VirtualDJ? Support for the GRV6 was added in 8462 (aka VDJ 2025).

Hi,
Yes, I'm currently running the latest public release that's available. I saw support for the DDJ-GRV6 was added and that's why I'm quite confused of why VDJ is not picking it up.

I also tried with the early access release that's currently up, B8490, and the same happens.

You have connected both USB ports of the GRV6, right ?
One is required for computer communication , so goes to a computer USB port, and the other is required for proper power supply, so needs to be connected to a USB power adapter.
