Sometimes when an indefinite script is running, things backfire and you may want to stop it. Or let's say you have a bunch of those and in the chain process one of them misbehaves but you don't know exactly which one. So instead of popping out var_list and looking for it why not just press a button configured to repeat_stop_all and save the day.
You can imagine if the script action was goto_cue & play, what a mess that would be?
