Hi.
Over the years I have had a number of controllers for VDJ. Starting with a Hercules 200 then 300. Dabbled with the dark side, a DDJ400, Denon Prime Go, Mixstream Pro, back to VDJ with the Hercules 500 and currently a Numark Mixtrack Pro Fx. Like everything they all have pros and cons. I would say the best overall was the Hercules 500, maybe I should have kept it.
Ideally what I am looking for is a pro feel, great pitch control without the footprint a pro set up. I have considered a couple of XDJ700s and a DJM250, but I feel like that’s not something I will bring out very often, too many cables (unless flight cased). I was thinking of pairing a Mixtour Pro and single Denon LC6000 with VDJ. The LC6000 can switch between decks and should have the pro feel. The Mixtour Pro has everything else?
I started DJing back in the 90’s with Technics and in the end a DDJ800 Mixer. Very much focused on subtle mixing and like to match bpm with the pitch (one of a dying breed). I certainly have no internet in DJing like James Hype.
Interested in your thoughts. 👍
