Topic: How find excact searches in database ?
Hello all, I get too many results which I did not type in the search. If I type in a song I want the results to match exactly what I type, maybe a letter or 2 off in case of typos. There used to be a certain symbol to type in the search and I forgot. Anybody know ?

the ? (question mark char) replaces a single character and the * (asterisk) replace more than 1.
So "f??l" will provide results matching "feel" and "fall" while "f*l" will also match with "Funksoul"
 
Thankx so if I want to search na na na , should I type "na na na" to get the excact title ? Instead of my whole library and na na good bye, hey hey nahy nah, ect ??
 
OK, thanks agsin, I tried the parenthesis, it narrowed the search to similar titles with those words in the context.. Not sure if that is the snswer. The other 2 tips were good. I want only the excact match.
 
For "exact" match you simply need to use double quotes ( " ) on your search string

So, na na na and "na na na" will give different results.
