Hi all
Has anyone had the issue where your effects like echo, reverb, filter etc.. suddenly go from affecting the entire track to just an individual stem. E.g. I start the night using echo on a channel and it will echo the entire track. I maybe use stems to separate out just vocals and then the next time I go to use echo on the next track on that same deck it is echoing only vocals not the entire track? I'm using a Pioneer DDJ800 and it does it on the "beat effects" buttons as well as the "sound colour fx" buttons. I have found a way to reset it back to echoing the entire track rather than just a certain stem without restarting virtual DJ. Anyone have any ideas? I'm sure this is a new problem as I have used virtual DJ at the club I work at for a long time with this controller and have only just noticed it stating to happen. Looking at the pc it has recently done a windows update 😬
P.s. the club is a licensed user and I have been over the years but tend to use CDJ's and usb's for club gigs but still take a controller to this certain club.
Any help would be amazing
Cheers

You're turning effect_stems on some how, check your scripts where that is happening.
effect_stems can be turned of simply with effect_stems off

Hi Locodog
Thanks for the reply, I have gone to the stems+fx page and they turn on and off using pads on my controller as they should and take affect of the individual stems, vocals etc.. But for some reason the colour fx buttons and the usual Pioneer orange button fx (blue on the ddj800) will work normally for a while then they will only add fx to individual stems rather than the entire track. I'm sure this is something new as I don't remember experiencing it before some windows updates. It's really strange why this has suddenly started happening. It seems a bit random but might be related to when I use stems like isolating vocals and adding some fx to that like echo, then the next track on that deck I'll use echo again without pressing any stems buttons and echo will only be on vocals and not the entire track. I'm not sure where I'm supposed to put the script in that you talk about? I don't now how to reset these fx buttons back to how they should be rather than just individual stems without restarting VDJ which is not good half way through a gig 😬
Cheers

I can't pick apart what that pad page is doing, I had one case were effect_stems got stuck on.
easiest thing, your keyboard mapping there's an entry called ONSONGLOAD
map it to this
effect_stems off
