Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello-
I have a PC laptop... has anyone ever configured an external 3d soundcard wih one? If so, which card? I have both pcmcia and usb slots open, so any insight would be great. Also, what specifically is it about a 3d card that is necessary? The ablitity to output 2 different channels? Thanks.

USB or PCMCIA SoundCards are expensive (at least 300$)
(you can find info at http://www.allusb.com)

A good solution for Laptops is to use USB speakers, and you put your headphones on their output.

The lowest price for USB Speakers is 30$ !

Yeah, I would like to find a card that I could attach to my computer through either usb or pcmcia that can act as both channels(i.e. a 3d card) that atomix can play through... like would this card work?

It has two outputs but I don't know if they are independent or not. Is there a device like this one that would work? This one only costs $50

Hi...
I took a chance with the Anthony Lynn Distribution sound device, and it works fine. ( http://www.usbstuff.com/alynn.html )
The two outputs are not indipendent, from what I gather. They give out the same output on both.
Installation was easy... I just plugged in the device in one of the usb-ports, and windows2000 did the rest.

Good luck

Well if the outputs aren't independent then that just doesn't hack it! If you're going to use this software in any form of a professional way you need two independent outputs. Does anybody have a solution?

Something I have found that provided hope was this:

They've somehow got a Creative SB Live! Value sound card into a laptop. I've emailed them to found out how and am eagerly awaiting their response.
