Did anyone happen to catch this show on MTV? MTV finally got the balls to try to offer "techno" to their mainstream programing...but its no surprise that it really sucked! At first it looked very promising by starting off introducing a show in Rockerfeller Plaza by Paul Oakenfold, but they never kept the mix playing for more than a minute without cutting to Ray Muntz talking or something else to ruin the show. The crowd there was extremely dissapointing. Half of them looked like trendy yuppies, just standing there the whole time. They really had no clue, I mean someone in the crowd held up a frickin' lit up lighter! This isn't a Poison concert! Finally, you can tell the MTV marketing brass got a hold of this show...they killed the show concept by offering "hyper-mixes", which are their usual TRL videos mixed together! UGH! I mean they are mixing Limp Bizkit and Eminem with Eve and Mya. A good idea ruined...what ever happened to AMP anyway?

all MTV ever does is hide a little techno in between commercials and in the backround. I believe this is wrong. If your gonna promote the scene....do it right. Don't be afraid MTV its only music!!!!!!!!!! I think they know that many of their viewers luv electronic music, but r afraid to promote it. All they have to do is promote MUSIC only......no problems there....as long as they don't say that "bad" word. Uh......what is it?....I forgot.......Oh yeah.....RAVE!!!! lol

MTV have just done like so many other institutes involved in the music industry - they lost the plot!
All they are interested in now is commercialism, advertising and making money, NOT providing what they set up to do - a TV channel for music lovers. Let's just hope that Rapture TV doesn't go the same way.

Ya i saw some of this, like near the end, it was crazy never focusing on the Paul AND they cut it short, i bet that show went on all night and it was about half an hour long. MTV is dying and focusing to much on sales.
