Why is it that people that bought the MKII console get a discount and the people that have the other one don't? I think its very very unfair!

The first-generation djconsoles shipped with a demonstration version of VirtualDJ along with demos of other softwares. (even if this "demonstration" version was not time-limited, it had fewer features, and is based on a very old v1.9 engine).
On the other hand, for the second-generation consoles (DJConsoleMK2 and DJControlMP3), Hercules and Atomix Productions have entered into a tighter partnership that allows us to provide an up-to-date version included with the consoles, and a discount to upgrade to the full professional version.
I don't see how this could be unfaire.
