Topic: FATAL ERROR... vdj hangs

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

i have a track playing on desk 1 and the crossfader is fully biased to it. On the other desk im playing another track (only hearing it through headphones) and as soon as i let it loop over 8 beats, a fatal error occurs and vdj hangs. A message comes up too saying vdj should be ok, but once i press ok, then vdj closes.

help?

Actually I have been having the same problem. If I do an 8 beat loop, It just stutters really fast, and causes doesn't respond to any keyboard or mouse commands. Then it crashes. =(

You probably need more RAM

More RAM?????I thought 512 was plenty for Virtual DJ. I can edit my home taped porn movies in less than 512 (lol j/k) so I thought 512 was plenty. I wasn't hoping for an excuse, I was hoping for an efficient DJ program......
Oh yeah BTW it doesn't do this on a 16 or 32 beat automaitc loop, only 8. Now that is weird huh?

I'm not sure if he needs more ram, 'cause I have only 384 (1Ghz, win XP), and it runs smooth (if I don't run any other applications or more than 2 effects while it's loading a track in memory :)

Update....I wiped the machine this morning, spent 4 hours tweaking (ie, the tweaks listed here, my own tweaks, and services tweaks curteousy of black viper.com). I have played around with it for about 1hr. It crashed once about 1 min into session where it wanted to restart. I rebooted my Windows and it performed for about 1hr, while I pressed every button without a problem. I'm gonna run it through a 4 hr mixsession and see what happens. Wish me luck.

Just deactivate slideshow option and VDJ seems stable again...

i thought they fixed that bug..

vdj would crash if the length of the loop was longer than the duration of the song remaing..

but az far as my knowledge goes, they fixed it..
