well i still havent just yet bought the virtual dj software.
just wondering about the headphone volume
what does one hear through the headphones, bot decks a and b.
how does one choose which virutal deck will go to the headphones.

Just like using a real mixer you can listen to either deck a, deck b or anywhere in between both decks. The only thing which I am not sure about is if you can hear deck a through the left ear and deck b through the right, although I prefer both channels through both cans anyway.
You will hear the active deck through the headphones (which you can change( but you can get skins which feature variable amounts of each channel too.

there doesnt seem to be a crossfader for the headphones like there is on TRAKTOR, FOR INSTANCE

It depends which skin you use, for example, this skin does have a headphone crossfader. You can download the skin and use it with the trial version to see for yourself but unfortunately the trial version does not support headphone prelistening.

normally when you load up a new song your headphones split automaticly and throws the new song into your left ear. My speakers however sends it to the right but I just swap the phones around which is fine by me. the main plays in the other ear piece.

gees that skin you mentioned is very nice
also i will use soundblaster audigy value 2 which has 7.1.
i guess i should not have any problems as i would chose the 4.1 soundcard confiuration choice.
is that correct.
if so that should make me buy it straight away.

That's correct, you would choose the 4.1 configuration and enable the extra output 7.1 option which will be displayed.
