Every of yours or the communitys tips should bo postet here for all of the users. Maybe we could make a sticky with a summary of what a user with problems should check an try.

As it works again (like me, i have to work 6 days a week ----> with VDJ) i'm calmed down a little ;)

Very happy is a feeling i'm gonna have if you bring up Mic-In. To make this clear: i'm not a DJ i'm an owner of a dancing school an so you see why Mic-in is so important to me.
 
Ihave noticed a couple of problems too.

1. When i minimize the VirtualDj window the sounds stops after a few seconds, and the decks too. Nothing works after that. I have to restart VirtualDJ in order to work again.

2. When both decks are playing , everytime i move the jog wheels, it changes the deck i prelisten in headphones. For example i have A deck playing and B deck prelistening. I move (touch, spin) the jog wheel of deck A and deck A comes to headphones. Does this supposed to happen?


 
Hmmm... I'm now getting the dreaded bsod from using the bcd as a midi controller, the error generated on reboot suggests its from the video card, I'll check it out..

(I had got asio working also for a very short time after another re format...)

Maybe you have a double assingment in your shortcuts / midisettings?
Changing active deck is normally assigned to "TAB". Could it be that you accidentally assigned a midi command for this also? (in your case a jog wheel)

The problems with minimizing VDJ sometimes happens to me too. Best way is to start all programms you might need before opening VDJ and changing with "ALT-TAB". This works for me.
Btw, with a crowd of people having party in front of me i would not use my "musicbox" for anything else than it is supposed to -> making music ;)


This forum is obtaining a real entertainment value for me, everytime i check back i read about new problems i've never heard before (like djdad's one) This seems to be a never ending story until patch 4.1 (hopefully)

Yes, its auto selecting the deck you are working at.
But you can turn off Auto-headphone if you like, in options
Or use headphone_mix and hear both decks (as shortcut, or internal mixer skin, that has this as slider)

i would never do tricky things when i am working, but we all first have to know them. Minimizing a window is not a tricky thing with other softwares but with VDJ seems it is. Of course i will not minimize the window as far as i know now, but this shows that the program with ASIO is unstable.

Writing here EVERYTHING weird that happens it MIGHT help the Team to come out with a solution. Am i right?

Ok, my bad, but what is the use of that? You have BCD to controll VDJ in the first place not only for sound card ;)

oh yes, you are absolutely right. Every hint or problem should be postet here for dev_team. The more they know the more they can do (hopefully). And as you said: minimizing a window is not really tricky for most software, so it sould not be for VDJ just as well.
So lets talk about ASIO. Your are also right here. VDJ is far away from running stable with ASIO.
So we have to do what dev_team is saying. Waiting for 4.1 and hoping it will fix our problems.

Sorry, but the controlling part also worked with 3.4. Using MidiYoke and bome it worked even better than it does now with 4.0. Or has anyone got his LED back to work with 4.0 ;)
 
Why people do not understand? DEV TEAM IS WORKING ON IT, guys, is that hard to understand? just wait untill the dev team comes with a solution and will see, I know, everyboby is on the hurry to work VDJ with BCD but I am pettry sure that on the next update everything will be different, Now, try to understand, ATOMIX is not the builder of BCD, and they are doing the best to make it work with VDJ, now, we just have to wait... I hoppe no too long hehehe !!!

today i meet dj quintana and with his helps we found a way to set virtual dj in asio mode with BCD2000.
I confirm the all is well and the headphone prelisten too!!
the problem it's around the configuration of performance..

Oh we all understand very clearly that dev team is working on Patch 4.1. Especially because guys like you are not getting tired of telling us ;)
And we all know that we have to wait for this patch.
And we all know that Atomix is not the builder of BCD, the Hercules MP3, the Ecler Nuo and so on.
But we all know that there are a lot of users who have big problems with VDJ and ASIO just as well.
And all we do here is to talk about our problems and maybe find solutions for them BEFORE 4.1 is released. (what'll be very soon hopefully ). ASIO->AUTO is a great tip wich came up only because we are talking about our problems here!

And so, in my mind this is exactly what a forum is supposed to!

So why are you blaming us for trying to help each other Qintana?!

Hi tanzi, first of all, I know this could be too much waiting, and I do know what you mean when you say "guys like you" but "pace my friend" this is "The CONSTRUCTIVE thread about BCD2000", so, when I said that is that hard to understand, I mean that some people still asking about "when" or "in the 3.4 it worked" BTW everybody here are working hard to find a solution, and I know everybody has apported time, and knowless about make bcd works with VDJ 4.0 (Iam one of this), but let's be CONSTRUTIVE about how the solve some isues untill the DEV TEAM gets done the update, lets try to find some new ways to make it work, let be adults about that and let try to help people to make it work, I got surprise when I read your post, because I have worked hard to find a solutions also, if you do not see me writing on this foroum is because Iam an Spanish user, and most of the time I write on SPANISH FORUM trying to help people ove there, but you coul ask some people about mean this threat, and you could see that I am a hard worker talking about BCD and VDJ, anyway I hoppe the solution comes soon and I and Everybody appreciate all the hard working on this....Pace...;)

So... I think this thread got a little out of hand...

So, if I want to use VDJ v4 with the BCD, i need the xml mapper and the asio4all driver.. But can I use the headphones to cue and prelisten with this solution?
 
Hi, You DO NOT NEED TO USE ASIO 4 ALL TO MAKE IT WORKS whit VDJ 4.0 and yes yuo could use the prelisten, but sorry this informations is aviable just for pro user.

In order to verify that we didn't forget to report things to dev team, could you sum up in 2 or 3 points ONLY the things to modify for better results. Please only things linked to the BCD2000 so i hope you will be clear.

Asio drivers still need something cause there are certain problems with the chipset of several motherboards and for that reason they get the asio error.
Leds are useful for many users, Mic. doesn't work properly ; headphones doesn't work well with wdm drivers.

I guess Manquin DJ has it all summed;

- No Led’s feedback when working in advanced mode.
- Not hearing any tone changes in the headphones when pre-listening.
- Asio error every x times you start VDJ or random when any changes are made.
- No Mic.

+ we are waiting a few Months now to get a working update :-) !?

i also bought a bcd2000 yesterday.

guys.. just use an external mixer to use your headphones properly, until VDJ4.1 arives.
patience is all you need for now.. native BCD2000 support will come in time.
