has anyone ever tried to get windows media encoder to recognise the console, im trying to use the encoder to broadcast and archive mixes but i cant get it to see the console

shoutcast wont let you broadcast and archive at the same time so thats no use

if anyone has managed to get it workin can you please tell me how, i think ive tried everything so far

You can shoutcast your mix, and log-in to your shoutcast with Winamp. Then, you use a plugin for Winamp called "StreamRipper", that will record the shoutcast source to an mp3 file on your harddrive :)
