Wondering if I will be able to use VDj with TCV and my turntable+mixer setup on my laptop..
windows xp
1.6ghz Celeron M
720mb Ram
I was originally using the laptop only for school but haven't been using it much so I thought maybe I could dedicate it to VDJ. What do you think?

it should be fine , however you need an external usb card such as a maya 44usb or a u46dj
or numark virtual vinyl.

Yeah I know that, I'm trying to do this on a budget only because I am a bedroom dj for fun, so I'm trying to think of a cheap but decent usb card. When is virtual vinyl coming out? Also, i'm wondering how long the Virtual DJ TCVs last?? How much use can they see before they need to be replaced (i assume when they are dead they start to skip and such)...and can FS or SL vinyl be used instead?

mine have lasted about a year and a half now
you cant use other brands tcv
apart from Sl which is supported , but with purposeful limitations of no needle dropping and a 6% pitch difference from the vinyl and the software
