Topic: UNSTABLE SOUND CARD SYMPTOMS??? UPGRADE NECCESSARY??

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Hello all,

I am currently using an external maya 44 USB sound card and i can never get sound to come through clearly on both inputs (turntables). Also i never have 100% timecoded signal. IT ALWAYS SAYS "timecode signal cannot be found" HOWEVER MUSIC STILL PLAYS>. Do you know why this could be happening. Is maya 44 usb still the preferred soundcard or should i upgrade to something different.

I have no irq conflicts i just cant understand why i cant get a timecode signal, and why one channel is clearer than the other. Thanks

i dont know much about maya but i had allmost the same problem with my u46 and it was the preamp sellection on time code config section and it had to be disabled.
for one reason when you press auto config preamp turns on automatically.
i hope that this might help you.

Well let's start with your setup -- have you follow all the recommendations of using TT with VDJ? Are the TT grounded to your PC or the Mixer? Are you positive that you are getting a left and right signal from the TT? In the Advance Config for TCV are you seeing a RED and GREEN line for each deck in the signal wave box? In the MAYA Control panel are MONITOR 1-4 all muted? Where is your INPUT level in the MAYA control panel?

To answer your 'still preferred' question - YES, MAYA44 USB is still the best solution out there.
