Guys
Need a little help here. I was doing a karaoke on Saturday night using a laptop for the karaoke with an s video connection to a scart junction box and was gonna try videos from my music machine.
However, the quality of the videos wasn't very good unfortunately. My videos are all originals that have been ripped to mpeg 2 using ImToo DVD ripper. They appear fine on my screen (even when I maximise the screen or use dual output monitor) but when I tried to get the vids on the television, they were not good.
So, i've put my bad quality vids down to either the connection i was using or the tv itself. I have a 6600gt with 128 mb onboard. It has a nine pin VIVO socket on it that i use with a cable from there to a scart head. This is then connected to the scart junction box and the scart junction box to the tv. In all honesty I'm assuming it's the scart junction box connection that's causing the problems, but can anyone tell me what the best way to connect from a graphics card to a TV/Projector/other external source might be???
Cheers...and keep spinnin'...(",)

Might Be because you're using S-video.
If your T.V has a RGB (looks the same as a vga and will work) use that. Same for the Projector - use the VGA(rgb) connector if possible
