Hey Everyone,

I've puchased an Indigo > DJ recently and having a few problems with sound, cracking, bass distortion, timing etc. Tried everything to get it working correctly... I know this isn't what you want to hear but Traktor 3 runs perfect and I've had to start using it for live sets... but I do prefer VirtualDJ and wish I could get it working again... one of the major problems I find is being able to notice the bass drum dropping out and the beat being inconsistant... anybody else having the same issues?

I was wondering if anyone had a recommended setup for the hardware, ie. what latency / performance settings to use. I've searched the forums and come up with no solutions so far.

Laptop is running Windows XP, 2Ghz AMD Turion, 1Gb Ram... need more info?

If anyone can help solve the sound issues, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Have you downloaded the most up to date drivers for the indigo? That could help, I've had 4 indigo cards, and used them on 7 different laptops. I had some problems with the older drivers but no problems while using the new drivers I got from their web page.
Also keep in mind the card works at +10db and most other cards play at -4db so the destortion may be coming from your system levels.

Thanks for the info, I have tried new and reverted to old drivers to see if it makes any difference lots of times but it doesn't seem to make a difference.

Yes I do turn the levels down on the card interface, the problem is not volume related, but a problem of keeping time... if time stretch is turned off I don't get any problems... but to be able to beat match and change the pitch the time stretch function kicks in automatically which leads to dropouts and an irregular beat.

Thanks again, if any one else has suggestions they would be greatly appreciated.

I definitely have a problem with my Echo DJ card on my laptop if I have anything plugged into my firewire port, which is right next to the Echno card. I get crazy stuttering, time shifting, etc...

Good luck,
