this message is going out to the angel above sometimes known as SKYFXL or anybody else who can help me!!!!
With dj console mk2 after installing vdj software and correct drivers vdj will not open and i am getting pop ups saying console not detected plug in and try again.also error with direct x sound card.
where do i go from here??????
any advise please!!!!!

You need the latest firmware from www.hercules.com for it to work on Vista.
Firmware 13 is needed...
Thats all you need;)
For the DirectX driver error, thats just a message saying your current soundcard setting is not logic, or wrong/unavailable. So try the firmware upgrade, and it should be gone ;)

sorry guys ive followed the links and downloaded the programs,but when i click the vdj icon on desktop
it still says controler not detected please plug in and try again.so i do and still same message pops up!

Forgot to ask you about the obvious...
You did download version 3.4.1 of VirtualDJ right ?
You need that for Vista + Herc

I don't know shit and don't have this controller, but were these drivers zipped? Did you unzip? Install them into the right folder? Sometimes I like to ask the simple stuff, because it gets overlooked.

make your acount an administrator on control pannel , go to user acounts and adjust your acount to administrator restart then install :)
