Does anyone have any of the new Fancy Numark USB Mixers?
DXM01USB CM200USB? ??
My understanding is it has a built in sound card. But what I am concerned about is the Quality of
the sound card.

Hi,
I have numark DXM01 USB, quality is good.
Also I prefer DXM as it is digital mixer.
CM200 is analog. I've read here that some hear interferrence or some noises in CM200 in general. cannot confirm personally.
I find out that DXM internally uses soundcard to make a "sound" and than again digitizes it to data. I thought it will use the digital data from usb directly.
On the top of all this I am satisfied.

I just recently got the CM200USB and have been very impressed with it's quality. I was using the GigaPort sound card with a Behinger VMX1000 mixer and hands down the CM200USB is way better.
I have alot more headroom per channel on GAIN and overall MAIN Out. The per channel EQ is more accurate. Overall a huge improvement. If you have a laptop see if you can go to a local retailer and try it out. Drivers load straight from XP. Look at the manual at Numarks site.

we own a half-dozen of the numark cm200usb's and they are, without a doubt, one of the best values out there.

I read the specs on the mixer and I have 2 questions
1) Since this mixer has 2 USB inputs do we have to take 2 USB cables from the laptop? What kind of internal settings are required if used with VDJ?
2) Does it work with VISTA?

Ques 1 - Yes, 2 USBs 1 for each channel -- it's two sound cards - Output drop-down choose 2 cards option and then select from the 2 sound card drop downs the two separate AudioUSB options
Ques 2 - can't answer not on Vista yet.

How low can you set the latency on the soundcard before it starts to sound bad? can you drop it below 256?
Thanks,

I use the AUTO in VDJ and it's fine.
