Topic: error in both decks using Cue

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Recently the computer at the bar we have a contract with just quit working. Every MP3 we put in, either player, gives us an Error Message. I'm sorry I do not have the serial number but I will as soon as I get there in about 4 hours. I'd really like to use it tonight. (Nobody in my company wants to use the OLD software from some OTHER COMPANY. We are addicted to Cue.

This is what I can tell you:

The software is loaded on 2 computers. I have not registered the copy in my office yet. Both machines are crashing although I think the CUE software in my office is working to some degree.

I feel both machines started behaving badly AFTER we tried Napster. The PC at the bar actually crashed during the first song from Napster and never truly recovered even with the local files.

I reinstalled CUE at the Bar today and immediately found that i was getting the error message still.

It does not seem to be file related. When the machine encounters an error it doesn't seem to care what file is loaded. It errored as soon as I loaded it, but five minutes later after tinkering it was loading files again. This was the case when it originally crashed but it became unreliable as it would crash every 5-10 minutes during the night.

Any Ideas? My guys are seriously bummed.

Love your products usability.

OK so I have managed to solve my problem in the short term. I removed the software and changed the name of the Numark directory with all the data files, then reisntalled the software. Of course we have lost our BPMs etc. But we are up and running. It's been about an hour so far.

Can somebody tell me what files might be corrupt? We did a lot of work on our files. I hate to lose the data. also, does anybody know if Napster caused this?

Thanks ahead for your help.
