I've played out with a pair of XP10's a few times now and WOW, I'm all excited about DJing again, tried a 5v powered usb hub a powered 5v pcmcia cardbus and plugged them direct into the 2 ports on my Dell D600(1.7 n 1gb ram fresh clean install of XP), they seem to randomly drop and it takes a hardware removal to get them to work properly again, one deck(the right on each time inspite of software and physical swapping) dropped twice then worked fine for about 4 hours Friday then dropped again Saturday before settling down and doing a sterling job for another 4 hours.
One of the symptoms is similar to others posted in the forums (I did a search) the sound gives up and just becomes a loud fuzz, whilst one deck continues to work fine.
I have read the other posts and no replies seem to be conclusive. The closest was a chap that removed a game controller, the only other USB device I have used on the fresh install is my Seagate HD. Device manager it is not showing any conflicts when they are both plugged in.
Has anyone had and overcome this or a similar problem that could make any suggestions, I had back up CD decks this time but would love to get to a point where I can take a spare laptop and leave the CD's at home :0)
