Lol!
I watch it later when I get a chance (probably tomorrow night at the soonest given my schedule).
Thanks though Bagpuss, I'm sure I'll enjoy it... or not... depending on what is determined in the end. =)

Good (and amusing) segment.
The most common words uttered by wiindows users who have switched to Mac are said by that guy who just switched himself at 3:13...
"It just works."

Mac's definetely look loads better, but other than for that why do so many international dj's ( Chris Liebing, PVD, Sasha, Richie Hawtin, Carl Cox, Mathew Dear ) use Mac's along wit Ableton Live, Serato or traktor ??
Is it more stable than PC's ?
Im looking to get a new Notebook and really not sure what to do. I am looking for a 1.5ghz core2 processor and 2GB of Ram. While a Mac with those specs would cost me about $1000 more than a PC what are the most significant advantages for the added price in terms of running music production applications.
Thanks in advance

BINGO!
High profile turntablists and celebrity dj's can't afford to have their reputations tarnished because their computer took a dive on them because of a bug ridden, slow, bloated and antiquated OS like windows, including vista which is still a bios and registry based OS.
Apple's Mac computers have seamless integration (quality control) between the 2 most important poarts of ANY computer; the hardware and it's OS.
That's why we don't have hardware incompatibility and driver conflict issues. Also, because Mac OS isn't based on a quarter of a century old unstable and inherently self degrading technology like a registry architecture (and never has been), we don't have random error, crashes, freezes, and need to be constantly maintaining and/or re-installing our Mac OS X.

A comparably equipped windows computer (meaning both hardware AND full versions of quality software like what comes with EVERY Mac - not trial versions of good software that you have to purchase or free full versions of junk/bargain bin software that takes up your hard drive space and corrupts your registry when you uninstall it, therefore causing windows pc performance degredation and instability, etc.) has been shown to ALWAYS cost as much as, but often times MORE than a Mac.
Not only initially, but especially over a period of time. On the average, a Mac will last you 2-3x longer than a windows pc (4-6 years for Macs vs. 2-3 years windows average ) but more importantly, it will work RELIABLY the entire time. Meaning you won't have to lose hours days weeks or months trying to maintain/fix.re-install the OS because of the inherent lack of quality control with windows pc's where the OS is NOT more compatible with anything, it's just more GENERIC.
That is why windows pc's are so unstable and a poor investment for anyone who wants a computer that works reliably for an extended period of time. Those people use Macs.
That is the added advantage of using Mac instead of windows pc's.
