Is there a way to hook up a microphone to use with DJ Control MP3 mixer. I have rigged my friends system up using an external usb soundcard on his laptop so he can use headphones. There is a mic input next to headphone socket on the external soundcard but can not get a mic to work.

how did you get the headphones to work? I am trying to do this while just using the computer. I have a gigaport.

as to the mic
use the soundcard mic input
as to listening with headphones you need a 4.1 soundcard
with two output channels.
