Im looking at buying a mixer and I was wondering is the NUO5 really worth the extra cost? Here there is about a $600 US Price difference between the two. Is the NUO5 exactly like the 4 but with an extra channel?

Nuo 5 doesn't have the same midi capabilities as the Nuo 4. The Nuo 4 has a dedicated midi section where you and assign midi control over the faders, buttons, etc.

low-fat-al is correct, nuo5 has sampleing but no midi. Depending on what you want to do tho is where you will need to make up your mind. I would tell you to go with the nuo4. I have one myself and love it. Now if you can wait untill the fall ecler has the evo5 coming out whick I think is gonna be the best mixer on the market. However cost is suppose to be 1500-2000us
