Topic: BPM anylizer still doesn't (always) work in 4.3

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

It's been acknowledged before that the BPM anylizer doesn't always work. Well, it STILL doesn't work. Is anyone working on this?

Sometimes it will work fine. Other times, it'll start fine, then stop getting BPMs 1/2 way through scanning a single new CD. Othertimes it'll get the length, but no BPM. Other times, it'll get BPM & time fine, but when it's done, it forgets what it did and it just disappears leaving the files with no info.

Hm, strange, that never happened to me, the BPM can be incorrect but it must be there? Strange.

This happened to me this past wknd... I analyzed about 5 - 6 folders and about half had bms on them. Even after I analyzed the single song it did not register the bpm and I had to manually count and enter.

I deleted the whole data base and started fresh... but a lot of songs had the incorrect bpm assigned.

Maybe this has something to do with the inaccurate BPM's - in the config I had techno engine but I would manually analyzed as (any). So I made them both alike.

I sometimes get this as well. If i just start VDJ, sort the database by bpm and scroll to the bottom to find the ones that havn't been done, highlight all of them and analyse (techno) then it usually works.

Just tends to be if there's something playing that it messes up.

I have on a few occassions found that the previously analyzed files are all of a sudden showing as not analyzed.

We can be on to something here, I still use 4.2 since 4.3 brings only Timecode improvement and some minor bug fixes as I know so I didn't update yet. My 4.2 is having all Bpm's (can be incorrect but it is there for sure). Is this some new bug?

There might be new codecs or rippers in use, that changed something in the mp3 that VDJ doesnt read.

Have seen this for a few files, and hope dev team will fix it for 4.4
