Both on my laptop and desktop, when I'm recording something with VDJ, when I load up another song and press start on it, there's a skip in the recording. I've never had this happen before and it's a problem on both computers. How can I make it record smoothly?

it's really strange because i just got a new laptop and moved my vdj over to that. once i saw it skipping, i moved it back over to my desktop.
laptop:
2g ram
160g hd
1.73 intel core 2
desktop:
512 mb ram
40g hd
1.86 ghz pent 4
i used it before about a month earlier and it didn't have any skipping problems. what's wrong with it?

i feel really stupid right now. there is obviously something wrong with the sound file that's making it lag. i just tried another mix of songs and it worked correctly.

it could be that file is corrupted.. Is it a download or rip from disc, cos downloading song sumtime is incomplete n have problem especially those from illegal sites

it's ripped from my friend's 90's dance album. i'm going to try some more tests.

maybe it was a bad rip because all of the songs are having the same problem with a small skip at an early part of the song.

Well, the demo is only good for twenty days, try using a registered version of VDJ and it should be much better.
