what features would this mixer include?
howmany line in?
how many line out?
how many usb?
etc.
though numark already designed a mixer with 2 usb input.which means you can set (deck a to usb1), (deck b to usb2), and samples to the laptop built in audio to line 3.

and this would accomplish what? and why is it so urgent?
Ecler NUO4 exists with MIDI support?
Numark DXM01USB, DM950USB, CM200USB - SoundCard(s) built in?
Oh, Atomix/VDJ is teamed with Numark and maybe something is in the works... Never know....

I don't see any reason to do another generic mixer that can work with VDJ. There is a lot of nice mixers on the market already.
But what i want, and are working on at the moment is a 2 ch PRO MIDI battle mixer that is optimized to work with VDJ and DAC2/DMC1. Since there is a lot of new controllers on the market you can get a DAC2/DMC1 really cheap. And these 2 controllers are still very nice to work with. Just lack some extra buttons. But that will be added to this MIDI mixer.
