Topic: to cdx or icdx?

I dont know whether to buy 2 of the numark cdx or the icdx. I notice in the remote control config there is only support for the icdx, will the cdx operate the same way? I plan on using the 5000FX mixer also.

It seems the icdx is better for loops and the cdx better for scratching?

You are right, iCDX is better as it is a native MIDI controller while CDX is just a CD/Mp3 player and you must use Timecode CD with CDX.
CDX is better for scratching since it has real vinyl and it is motorized, like you are using a real turntable.
iCDX is CD/DVD audio media player which means you can use Mp3 files as a backup, and use it as a MIDI controller only for VDJ decks.
 
Is the cdx likely to have midi support in 4.4 or is that not being looked at.
 
Grug the CDX is not midi compatible, so mapping it would be futile. Grab the iCDX, I use two and love em. Look in my blog for a picture of them.

Actually just one more question about having 2 icdx... how do they both work together, eg how does VDJ know that you have two connected. Do I have to use a special VDJ mode like multi-instance, multi-skin or something.
 
VDJ see automatic if 2 iCDX are connetcted and with eject button you can invert Deck 1 and 2, don't worry, this software is not stupid ;)
