Hello! I'm new to this whole DJ thing and it amazes me some of the things you guys are doing/talking about. I am listening to Virtual DJ Radio and I just dont know how any of its done!
1) How are songs like LL Cool J - Control Myself mixed with a techno/dance beat?
Any help would be awesome - I JUST started reading on DJ equipment and things...

some of those mixes are made outside of virtual dj in a production program like reason
to add the vocals to the track
or samples from the songs are played other another beat using the sampler

Some are also made using an acapella version of the song (words only) and then mixed over the beats of another song. That can be done with this program. It is true though that production software is very different then live mixing software (VDJ).
