Yup. big bug during the conversion
All entries in the converted xml file looks like:
Notice the ? in the FilePath. So VDJ 5 didn't set the path correctly while for this entry V4.3 mp3database.txt contained:

Read the manual and you will understand
VDJ now saves the database on the root drive of each harddrive you have.
(to allow hot swap/plug&play drives during a gig)
So your C: database have relative path, not absolute.

Database system in 5.0 is improved, it's NOT the same format.
IMPORTANT: This means no backward compatibility, they have also different (database) file names.
Once you convert, stay with the new format, but keep/archive your 4.3 database file.

Ok thanks , I understand I should have RTFM :)
The strange thing though is that on install (or first run i don't remember) it told me the db was corrupted on drive I: and to go fix it in the config panel.
In the Browser tab it sayed: " 5000 entries, 0 in SearchDB, 5000 saved old entries."
So I have to right click on directoried and "add to database" I believe, but what if I took some time before to exclude certain tracks from certain directories ? Now they are not excluded or i hav to do it again. Is that normal that on first run the search db is empty ?
