Hello virtual DJ Team and Users,
I want to thank the Virtual dj team for providing us DJ's with this unbelievable program for mixing audio and Video files....
Although some issues have occurred...this is by far the best program on the market....Thank you!!! keep up the good work.
I have a 2.1 dual core amd processer with 2 gigs of ram. XP and lots of hard drive space. I have a 256mb ram nivida video card.."the good one" not the cheap version.
I have been using and adjusting my friends computer with virtual dj since 3.4 came out. So I have had time to practice on Virtual DJ for quite some time now.
The following problems happened with vdj 5.0. I have had 2 crashes since the 5.0 release was downloaded and installed. I can't Identified where these crashed are comming from exactly.
Problem one. When I was using the program normally searching browsing by genre and title and stuff. Within about 2 hours the program locked up. I couldn't do anything..I had to force quit.
Problem Two. I use a live video feed for simulcasting......In the video setting where it says use this plug-in for audio files....I picked camera. A normal mp3 audio file was playing in the A side. After a while the program locked up on me again while trying to load a video file into the B side. My video files are all legit.....some VOB files, AVI and some Mpeg.
I will keep everyone updated as I'm still testing 5.0 for the next two weeks.

program locked up. I couldn't do anything..I had to force quit.same for me!!!!specialy while broadcasting!!!!audio only no video.

We have noticed this also. The user interface hangs, the curent song will continue playing, but the user cannot load the next song or hit the play button. VDJ must be stopped with Task manager and restarted.
We think the problem may be the new automated features.
Try these settings on the Browser Config screen:
Titles/Artist = Don't Read
Tags = Don't read
Coments = Don't Read
Cover = Don't Search
Search Database = Add Manually
We are thinking that you can only use these on systems with a small number of songs.

I too have had several "crashes" and it seems to be while browsing and searching the databases. I upgrded around August 22 from home edition to VDJ pro and over a weeks time, I've had 4 crashes or "fatal error" messages.
I'm quite gunshy using v.5 live until the crash situation is addressed.
Any ideas?

Please write here the data of your "crashguard report.txt" file (open it with Wordpad)
