I've had a look through the manual and guides, but i can't find what the new 'clear sound' check box actually does in V5.

I did see that
Sound / scratching accuracy. ("Clear sound" does this)
But it didn't make sense to me. If it improves the sound and scratching quality, why is it an option? I just thought there would be more to it, otherwise there wouldn't be an option to turn it on or off.

It helps clear some of the harmonic distortion that can be heard when using some sound cards and Timecode Vinyl or CDs
