I don't use id3 tags to organize my music, i simply use windows folders and sort and file them myself.
I remember in the previous version of VDJ, there was a let VDJ write to tag option (or something like that)
I'm finding if i move a file from one windows folder to another folder, VDJ loses all the info for that track and shows it as unscanned, where as before when i had the let VDJ write to tag option ticked, it remembered the file after i moved it.
Have i got my settings wrong in the browser tab? I'm using V5r2

Gary there is no longer a Write to Tags option.
You should Move your files in side of VDJ to maintain the information. As everything is ABSOLUTE path references. And VDJ doesn't know what you do on the outside of the application.
Now you can try to use the Check option on your Database. This should 'check' for dis-associated entries and attempt to re-associate them.
Now I did test moving some files outside of VDJ and it recognized the files with their info. What I didn't do is move the files from one drive to another. If that is the case then - Yes, you should do it from within VirtualDJ.

Thanks for that. I haven't been moving from drive to drive, just folder to folder. Its quite annoying, it seems for new features there is always a downside.
I seem to spend more time analysing songs than playing them. I do get the feeling that VDJ isn't saving all the info properly. Could it be anything to do with my administrator settings in Vista, or is that not an issue with the latest version anymore?
