i have got virtual dj with a hercules controller. i have an external hard-drive with all of my music on it. i can play the music on other computers, but the pc i want it to work on just comes up with error everytime. any song that i try to drag onto a deck just comes up with error... i have checked that i have the right codecs but still the problem persists. any ideas? thanks.

Is your external drive getting the same drive letter assigned to it as in the last time everything worked ?
Go to the Program Files\\VirtualDJ folder and open the mp3database.txt file with notepad - and look at the entries the start with the drive letter that is what your drive needs to be. If it has changed then you need to re-add the harddrive in VirtualDJ to the Search database.
