This question is for all of the Xponent owners.... I am just curious to know if you are using Xponent with VDJ, what do you do with the Torq software? Can you sell it? Or, do you just keep it? $599 is a lot of $ for just the use of the controller, unless it is that good, seeing that the Vestax is around a $100 cheaper. Your paying for both the controller and the software. This is the reason why I am having a hard time contiplating on keeping this unit then upgrading to VDJ pro. That's a lot of $$$

I'm having a lot of problems with my Xponent... it's going back to my supplier tomorrow, and it's likely that I'm going to have to pick a replacement controller... Read around on the M-Audio forums before purchasing :)

So far I have not had any problems with the Xponent controller. It's the software,Torq that I don't like.

The Torq software is definitely lacking compared to Virtual Dj. The Xponent Comptroller seems to be stable. I have come accross some latency issues with the internal soundcard (which caused distortion) and had to increase the buffer from 256 to 512.
No matter if I was on a 1.7ghz w/1 gig of ram laptop or a 3.2ghz Core2 w/ 2gigs of ram. The
256 latency setting was no good.
Personally I would MUCH rather use Virtual DJ.
Torq is very sluggish with rendering the wave display in realtime and loading an new track.
Virtual DJ's effect are stocked with better effect then Torq.
As far as the controller. I think its a good choice. But the next xponent version is likely going to be greater,
and Torg will hopefully be fine tuned.

Thats what quite a few people are finding.
Unfortunately I found that even at 512 latency for me the audio would sometimes still start distorting 3-4 hours into the night :(

There is a review of this controller in the latest issue of Remix. At the moment, there are some issues with all the lights being mappable to other software.

Eck... sounds like the audio interface is no good huh? I read a lot about this kind of distortion on the Torq forums. I was hoping it was just an issue with torq, but perhaps not. Do other Xponent users find this issue with VirtualDJ?
It looks like a sweet controller, but I'm not gonna shell out $500 for something that's flawed and will need to be RMAed again and again until they fix the design. (This happened to me with the Conectiv, which I have yet to get back in working order).
