Topic: How "Green" is your DJ equipment?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I was wondering, has anyone purchased, invented, or imagined amplifiers that are 300 WATTS that can create the power of a 3,000 WATT amplifier? With all these things going around about Global Warming, how energy efficient is your equipment? I think the most energy efficient equipment would be the self powered crowed with a lap top computer no?

It is true though; most, if not ALL, DJ equipment is energy hungry. You think they should start coming out with equipment that qualifies for that Energy Star sticker?

LOL interesting topic. Thought I would start it. I am not an environmental freak... I am the proud own of a 04 Jeep Grand Cherokee Lorado (gas guzzler)

Just a random topic.

We often produce lightshows that use 64A, sometimes 100A or even more. I think the beginning of november we're doing a lightshow containing over 200 kWatts of light and somewhere around 50kWatts sound. Powering that all is completely crazy, but the customer pays. :)

LED lighting is leading the way.

As far as speakers/amps....i don;t see a power saving option coming along anytime soon.

so self powered would be like riding a bike to turn the generator ...... so i have to go really fast to get louder ?? as long as i have a hand free for my Corona , i'll try anything ...lol
