Already there in the current version. You can change the skin yourself or could download one of the skins in the download section. Make sure before you change the skin, is to make a copy and apply the changes to the copy (so you keep the original).

Why would you like to use the recurse function? The recurse option is left from the previous version, but is "replaced" by the search function in V5. When you add your songs to the database, you are able to do a global search, just like the recurse function, but much faster.

The Ability to load Multiple Tracks per deck and go between cue point on different tracks.. I know I may be able to get this using the sample engine but it doesn't work the same.

For Example.. One Thing i do when I use my Numarks with Plain CDs

I song is playing on deck 1
II load a Single in deck 2

Set my Cue Points on deck 2

1 - Start of Song - First hit Beat Track 1
2 - Start of instrumental track 2
3 - start of a favorate statement on the accapella track 3


I have a song playing on deck 1....
I match the beat using the inst on deckl (Cue point 2)
Mix it in on the hook break
bounce between inst and cue 3 the accapella
mix the instrumental then imediately drop cue point 1 which is the main song.

I can use it when mixing the song out also
to creat a clean break

For example... After the Hook... hit Cue Point 2.
I am on the instrumental..... mix in my next song on top of that instrumental.

I use 3 tricks to get this done right now

prerecord remixes with long intro/outtros(instrumentals)
load the instrumental on deck two...(This sometimes takes too long)
long begining or end of track(Some tracks don't have clean instrumentals in the begining or end)

 
Oh Yeah one more...

Native Mapper for number ICDX and for that stupid ICDX Video Pop-up error to go AWAY!
 
ability to load tracks while playing without the question popup, and not loosing bpm sync in the process

its actually a bug if you ask me.. loading a song within 1 to 2 seconds after you stop the track will prompt you the question track still playing you sure you wanna load? Of course it has to do break time on the cdj's and 1200's so lets give the option to switch the question off!

Some of these ideas are very good indeed, but be realistic it will take forever to develop these ideas.

Shall we just that the dev team get on with what they've got planned for 5.1 and leave them in peace.

I second the ICDX video pop-up error. Caused another crash last week and had to do the rest of the gig without the decks.
 
sorry guys, this is a double-post. but either my ideas are really abstract and noone gets them or their really good and theirs no need to respond or discuss them.. (attention deficient, lol!)

i'd like a midi-map control that allows me to multiply values. for instance on my xone:3d, my jogdial of course moves the track position. For instance, I'd like to assign a push-button to a value of 32 which when i push and hold, and use the jogdial, it moves the position a factor of 32x faster. this would be usefull for any value like pitch, gain, position, effect value.

basically it allows you scale values very quickly to a user's needs.

The option to disable that question already exists; in "Config > Options" there is an option for "Security". Set that to none, and it will not prompt you any more.

Do you literally just want a manual list, with the singer name and the track details - or something more involved?

DAC-2 mappers that work again, but more important:

COMBINING FILTER FOLDERS!!
Selecting several filter folders to combine those filters, that makes filter folders much more powerful. :)
 
Not sure if it's been already mentioned but how about being able to double click in the sidelist/bottom list (under the main section where songs are) so that it loads into a deck instead of having to drag it into one...just like how it works when you double click on a song and it loads into a player.
 
I have used the trial version lately and have noticed that the 2 deck automix feature has been removed, why is this. I think that any new release of ANY software should not have features removed from them, the option to be able to select 1 or 2 deck automix would have been a better addition. I have used ver 4.3 in the last club I worked and was considering buying the latest version now that I have setup a small mobile business and already have a couple of residancy's, however after seeing one of (IMHO) the best features has been removed I am evaluating other software.

Love the inclusion of Karaoke support, mainly the ability to filter search result to either hide or show karaoke tracks, I think the above mentioned "next singer/song" option would be ideal. maybe a separate playlist for karaoke tracks that the user can manually add the singers name to which is scrolled one the screen/s at the click of a button.

Subfolders!

Please add the ability to have virtual subfolders within virtual foldes. It is a very basic windows convention, very useful, and it received a lot of positive feedback from another post. It is a very obvious feature to add.

I have 80 folders that could break down to about 8 main folders.

how about full support for the kaos pad3 ..... that is a great controler and it has many function's that would be amazing for vj'ing....that would be great!!!!
 
I'm sick of installing an upgrade of vdj and lose my databse is there alot to ask here?

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet but in relation to searching I would love to see a free text search facility in 5.1. I still have to winamp's media library in order to track down some songs that I want to play because it searches for songs based on tags, filepaths and file names - the search mechanism on VDJ currently doesn't work like that. If I am missing something please advise me. Thanks.

Under CONFIG, just select ADD AUTOMATICALLY to Search Database.
