Hello,
I have a brandnew laptop with a Geforce 8400M G 256 dedicated videcard.
When I use the "hardware acceleration" it gives sometimes hickups.
But when I don't use the "hardware acceleration" on the videotab, it works great (laptop with 2 gig memory)
The problem is that when I don't use the hardware acceleration I ca'n't use the video-effects.
Why can't I with my BRANDNEW laptop not use the hardware acceleration?
I really want to use the video effects

Try the troubleshooting steps here - http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/articles/dmc_turnoffhardwareacceleration.aspx
Also, please note the statement at the bottom of the page -
"If the issue is resolved with hardware acceleration turned off, the source of the problem could be old video drivers for your video adapter. In that case, you need to contact the manufacturer of your video card to get the latest drivers."
Even 'brand new' laptops don't always come with the latest video drivers as they are ever updating them. You might look to see if there are newer drivers available.

I would then contact the manufacturer's tech support and ask them how to adjust hardware acceleration values.

But these are the latest nvidia drivers.
If that doesnýt work, maybe I must use another dj software ?

Does dxdiag tell you that acceleration is disabled?
Where did you get these latest drivers from? The laptop manufacturers website?
Video drivers can be a buggy topic at the best of times. What version of nVidia drivers are they? Often the drivers required are OEM customized drivers - and they are usually out of date, regardless of the date/time stamp given by the OEM.
You can read about it here, and get modified updated drivers from them too. Obviously use at your own risk etc...
