You should just throw xp or vista on it (boot camp is no longer beta with the release of 10.5, it's a final release) and use VDJ windows on it like a lot of us have for the past 1 1/2 years until the Mac version comes out shortly.

2 computers in 1 and you'll be able to use the best digital dj/turntablist solution on by far the best OS, Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Selling your Mac to downgrade to a windows only pc when you can run windows natively on your Mac if you have to (which you won't after VDJ Mac is released) is really a poor decision at this point IMO, considering that you've come this far. You'll surely be kicking yourself in the very near future.

There's a reason windows users are actively switching and/or looking into switching to Macs all over, not just on these forums.

Live and learn though I guess Charlie. Good luck! ;)

P.S.
I'd buy your MBP in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the fact that I'm waiting for the next revision of 15" MBP's (if Apple had a 13" MBP option I would have bought that for my gigs, I don't care for the larger screens) that will come between now and MacWorld San Francisco (MWSF) in January and will probably bring us a Blu-Ray player/burner option, as well as HD displays and higher performance/lower heat emitting .45nm Intel Penryn mobile processors. I might even hold out until summer of next year for Apple's World Wide Developer's Conference (WWDC) where I'm pretty sure we'll see the first quad core MacBook Pro's introduced with Intel's "Motevina" platform replacing "Santa Rosa" at that time: http://www.electronista.com/articles/07/10/15/intel.4.core.mobile.demo/

MacBook prospects: keep your eyes open this Tuesday morning for a line revision with a MUCH better graphics system and an upgrade to Santa Rosa processors with the faster frontside bus. ;)

If k_one says his current MacBook runs videos in VDJ/VV just fine now , this new consumer line Mac notebook will KICK A**!

BACK ON TOPIC (sorry Charlie):
Please feel free to make a reasonable offer to Charlie on his 17" MacBook Pro considering it's in new condition and that a Mac has a life expectancy of 2-3x longer than windows computers. Plus, keep in mind that you can install windows on it 100% natively as well if needed and have a Mac AND windows computer all in one. =)
