A new release of the public beta for Mac is available.
Here is the change log:
- fixed crashed sometimes on timecode config window in advanced mode
- fixed slideshow plugin
- fixed searching for artist/title when both filename and filepath have been unchecked from the search and there is no ID3 tag.
- hardcoded shortcuts changed from CTRL+ to CMD+ (select in lists, etc...)
- correctly read ID3 comments from iTunes
- correctly import cover artwork from M4A iTunes tags
- correctly import album from M4A iTunes tags
- removed tooltip and MSN from options
- widescreen skin added (cue/virtualvinyl only)
+ many minor cosmetic changes

i Do not Get Any Crashes any more good news :)

it is now no longer as flickerly it still jitters alittle bit on some speed settings

alas this does not appear to be working
when loading tracks using the itunes nested folders with no comment the comment
iTunPGAP apears i assume this is from the method that the songs are loaded from the itunes database this can be bypassed by disabling read comments for the mean time ,
ome tracks ripped in itunes with no comment then browsing via the folder
the comment is ITunNorm.

Very Nice just what was needed , can we please get this for VDJ users too?

unfortunately now alot of the fonts are to large for the skin the clock doesnt fit its spot
the deck information doesn't fit

Okay well here's what need to be fixed for beta 3.
Plugged in my xone:3d Config picked it up and plays as soundcard fine, however I cannot select 3 channels (6-stereo pairs) like I can with mac this function is still only available for VV.
That's where the good times end, I go to map the xone, I turn on general midi and the audio stops playing add to this the fact that VDJ doesn't pick up one solitary midi message from any of the xone's buttons.
Anyone else not able to map a non-native controller? It works fine on the PC version?

FINALLY THE MAC FORUM HAS COME A L I V E !!!! Waited a while for this. Quest, bet you have your hands full! Remember guys, this is beta release to there are bound to be problems. Lets work together to get this software PERFECT for the Mac!

Below is what i think may played a big part,
*To user who have crash or to report their issue, do use this thread so it will not be messy with individual problem from different user all over the mac forum who is using the beta. Just note that anything to do with the current beta issue be posted here preferably so it be easier for the dev staff and others to look at.Thanks!

Most user of VDJ for Mac use macbook, I think.

Okay so more issues. Well, the same but from a different angle.
I connected my 3D to my MBP which is running LEOPARD (the imac is still on Tiger). VDJ plays the music fine and is picking up midi without causing the music to cut-out like it did on the mac. So far excellent and I was smiling.
However.
I now have the same problems with the jogs that plagued me before V4.3 on PC. The jogs will ONLY move the track forward, slowly if i turn the jog to the right and extremely fast when turned to the left.
Also when mapping in midi If you select lets say "PLAY" and then select it for Deck 1 in the options it will actually set it to Deck 2. Had this problem on PC version too. Seems like
Active Deck = Deck 1
Deck 1 = Deck 2
Deck 2 = Default Deck
Default Deck = Active Deck
Not a huge issue but I thought it was worth bringing up.
Also before in VDJ I would click the BPM button at the top of the browser to organise the folder by BPM asending or desending. This no longer works for me on both systems/Versions of OSX

beta 2 seems very stable...good work guys!
I am wondering, will we see an improved keylock button in the final release? I am looking to keylock some tracks up to 8%, but the bass starts to drop out and the track sounds a little skippy at that pitch adjustment. I used Traktor 3 for a little bit, and noticed their keylock feature is more solid than VDJ's.
One other request is to adjust the window size with the bottom right corner, and that in full screen VDJ will adjust to the resolution of your LCD.
other than that, the sync works ok, the sound is good, and the tracks loaded fine. No crashes :D
