Very new at Apple , but quite familiar with VDJ PC versions.
I can't get any file or folder names to show up on the basic skins
on the mac version 4.3. What do I need to know about or do?

Forgot to mention I have all my songs on an external HD 500 GB.
This si how I use them on the PC version and all the folders and names show up on the left side of the skin.

if your external is formatted with ntfs then vdj will not see that drive. You can however right click on "local database" and do a scan hd and it will scan that drive and pull all the songs
into vdj...just can't do the folders.

version 4.3 is old now, and not that stable.
Even if version 5.0 bears the name "public beta", I would recommend using it, I think it's still more stable than 4.3 now.

even the names of folders on the laptop or the label "local database" did not show up, and why would that be, and how would I know what to scan if i can't get the names of anything at all.
